What is the difference between THC + CBD?

We put together a brief write up on the differences between THC and CBD for those of you looking for more information on cannabis.

THC

THC and CBD are two different cannabinoids with varied effects.
THC exists in the highest levels in the cannabis plant and produces an infamous, psychoactive euphoria (it will get you high). It is helpful for treating pain management, insomnia, appetite stimulation, nausea, and reducing anxiety. THC also protects neural pathways making it effective for treating neurodegenerative disorders or nerve related pain like sciatica. (Pro-tip: THCa is non-psychoactive and converts to THC when heated. THCa is a great, non-intoxicating way to receive the incredible benefits of THC.)

CBD

CBD has a wide range of benefits, but without the intoxicating high. We love CBD because it is safe for all ages, and is even becoming popular among cats and dogs to treat anxiety and arthritis. CBD has subtle yet effective anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxing characteristics that calm anxiety and combat sleep disorders. It has been successful in treating tumors in cancer patients as well as side effects of cancer treatment like nausea, and acts as an anticonvulsant for treating seizure disorders.
